Now that I'm getting to know the kids in the homeroom better - do you mind if we do grade checks often? I worked with Ada today. She worked on material from last semester for chemistry. What can we do to get her history grade up?
Sherry also spoke with the kids about the Exit Exam.
Very excited about Juan and David and the other 7 Academy students at least. James and I will be talking about the Exit Exam next week. I am glad your working with Ada she does struggle. Cindy how do you feel the kids are doing in your class so far? I know Sarah says they are struggling with the CAHSEE prep which we will work on.
ReplyDeleteSarah is working with the English part of the CAHSEE prep and I start next week with specific math prep in my homeroom. Layne, did you have a chance to think about if we could make a competition out of that?

James, how about if we write up some math problems - and the homeroom with the highest average gets points for that day ... we count up through the week ... winner gets donuts ...
