After studying Annie Dillard, a contemporary author and naturalist, students were to observe an object in their own natural world. Emulating Dillard's style, they were to describe these objects using hyperbolic imagery that would express the symbolism of these objects. Although all the papers were outstanding, these particular descriptions were exceptional.
